I can't believe I'm typing up a blog post right now. This is the first time I've written a blog post for my own blog or website in YEARS. I've done plenty for other companies when I've guest designed etc, but I have mostly just been posting on Instagram when I create something. I just joined the My Favorite Things design team, though, so I'm thinking it might be time to rejoin the land of the bloggers. ;) Now that I have my own website, blogging actually seems like something that would be a good addition. Hooray!
For this card challenge project, I went with a pretty simple scene card. I did some ink blending on a piece of white cardstock and then added marker details to bring it to life. I also did a little water splattering on the sky to give the look of clouds and give it a little more interest. I used Copic markers to color this adorable little llama from the Llama Love stamp set before fussy cutting it and popping it up on foam for some added dimension.
I heat embossed the sentiment on kraft cardstock to help bring in the light brown for the color challenge. I actually like the look of the white on kraft here!
